Forgotten 5 Signs You Picked the Wrong Career-From February 19, 2010
5. You dread getting up in the morning because you hate going to work.
4. Your enthusiasm and passion for your job are directly related to your salary.
3. Your work schedule is slowly tearing your family apart…and you know it, but you’re not sure what to do about it.
2. Your boss is not too big on things like vacations, family time, encouragement, and a peaceful working environment.
1. You wouldn’t recommend your company, service, or trade to anyone
Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Ephesians 2:10 (The Message) “He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.”
5 Steps to Take
1. Pray-God, why am I in this job? Is there someone I’m supposed to reach? Can you rekindle the passion for this job? Maybe you’re just in it for a season: to get out of debt or pay the bills
2. Take a step of faith. You may have a plan or you may not.
Psalm 20(NIV)
1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.
3 May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings.[b]
4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.
5 May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the LORD grant all your requests.
3. Get Godly counsel, but don’t let anyone deter you from your dreams.
4. Don’t take no for an answer.
5. What is that God sized dream that God has birthed within you that is like a fire in your bones? What has God put inside of you that He wants you to let out? Passion.
